COMPETITIONS

A way to encourage the development of our members photography is by taking part in competitions and receiving critique on images that hopefully allows them to look differently at their images with the aim to improving their creative eye.  Our competitions fall into two types, Digital Projected Images (DPI) and Print.  DPI competitions are held every 4 weeks and are judged externally and the points go into a league table.  At the end of the season a winner is crowned. DPI competitions are based on Open category which means anything goes colour or black and white and we just ask images are taken or created in the last 12 months.    During the year we also have print competitions consisting of Colour and Monochrome Open categories.   There is a separate league for print competitions.
